First they build a scene from the picture: a tall brick house with a snowy roof and a little annex, a big Christmas tree hung with gift cubes, and a frozen waterfall that turns into an icy stream, with Santa two cubes tall, an elf, a reindeer and a snowman. Then they take it apart and invent the rest: a toy workshop, a skating pond, a gift-wrapping station.
Raising the brick house from the picture is a real planning exercise: count the cubes, find the right texture, work out where the windows and wreaths go before the roof. Your child practices spatial reasoning and sequencing without noticing, because the goal is simply to get the village ready for Christmas Eve.

Building the village from the picture asks your child to plan, count and sequence: which brick row goes first, where the windows sit, how the ice cubes step down into the stream. Each session strengthens their ability to picture a 3D shape and carry out a multi-step project on their own.
Once the village stands, the holiday characters take over. Santa warms up by the fireplace, the elf stacks presents under the tree, the reindeer drinks at the frozen stream: pretend play grows out of the build, and the village becomes the setting for stories all season long.
