Product description
A glittering crystal mine your child builds cube by cube. Each 2 cm cube carries a printed texture (sparkling ore in copper, teal, red and orange, pale blue ice, shiny gold, deep blue starry stone and bubbling lava) and snaps to the next one on any of its six faces, so the mine stays standing while little hands keep digging deeper.
Does your child love rocks, gems and treasure hunts? This set makes them the lead explorer. First they build the mine from the picture: cave walls studded with ore, a peaked stone roof, an ice tower and a gold pillar, a lava river and an underground pool. Then the crew moves in, from the smiling miner in his yellow cap to a tan bear and a grinning blue face, and the hunt for the mystery cubes begins.
Reproducing the mine from the picture is a real planning exercise: count the cubes, find the right texture, work out which row goes first. Your child practices spatial reasoning and sequencing without noticing, because the goal is simply to open the mine and reach the gold.
The magnets make the process forgiving. Cubes that line up click together, a cube placed the wrong way is turned around in a second, and nothing collapses when a cave wall is rebuilt. Building the mine from the picture asks your child to plan, count and sequence: which wall goes up first, where the ore cubes sit, how many cubes the ice tower needs. Each session strengthens their ability to picture a 3D shape and carry out a multi-step project on their own.
Once the mine stands, the characters take over. The miner follows the lava river, the bear guards the gold, the mystery cubes hide the treasure: pretend play grows out of the build, and the mine becomes the setting for a new expedition every day.
