First they build the scene from the picture: a glowing purple portal, lava steps, a grassy staircase, a pool of water, white stone stairs and a blossom tree, with a girl in a pink dress and an armored knight, each two cubes tall. Then they take it apart and invent the rest: a volcano cave, a hidden treasure room, a bridge over the lava.
Reproducing the landscape from the picture is a real planning exercise: count the cubes, find the right texture, work out how each staircase climbs. Your child practices spatial reasoning and sequencing without noticing, because the goal is simply to get the portal standing.

Building the landscape from the picture asks your child to plan, count and sequence: which staircase goes first, how tall the portal frame must be, how many water cubes fill the pool. Each session strengthens their ability to picture a 3D shape and carry out a multi-step project on their own.
